This program consists of 8 sessions and finishes with final student presentations at the start of Term 4.

It is aimed at equipping a small group of students (Student Ambassadors) at your school (with the support of an educator), with the skills, knowledge and purpose to develop the skills to take action on issues as an informed and empowered Global Citizens.

Dates and Times

Your school will have been told the day/time of your sessions. The day/time will never change and below are the dates for the rest of the year. The dates of sessions are listed the week they take place so please double check your day/time for that week.

If you cannot come to your usual session, you are welcome to come to another session that week—it is a lovely way to meet some more students and hear about their projects.

Term 1:

  • Session 1/Kick Off Session: A Planet Under Pressure (Monday, 25th of March, 1:30-3:00 PM)

With Guest Speaker: Dr Keith Hegget from UTS & SCEAA committee member

Term 2:

  • Session 2: Identify Your Issue & Ensuring Impact! (Week of 6th May)
  • Session 3: Solution Selection and System Thinking (Week of 27th May)
  • Session 4: Partnerships for Success (Week of 17th June)

Term 3:

  • Session 5: SDGs & IDGs (Week of 29th July)
  • Session 6: Digital Storytelling – Educate and Inform (Week of 19th August)
  • Session 7: Digital Storytelling – Inspire and Involve (Week of 9th September)
  • Session 8: Project Problem Solving and Looking Ahead (Week of 16th September)

Term 4:

  • Session 9: Reflections and Presentation Prep (Week of 14th October)
  • Final Presentations: Week of 28th October
